Troop Care Packages

We send packages
to the troops whenever we can. We have 2 contacts in Qatar that we send
bags of candy, snacks, and gum. We filled shoeboxes for the sailors on
the USS Normandy, and we have a contact in Afghanistan that requested
items for the children over there. Through donations, we are able to
send shoes, clothes, stuffed animals, crayons, coloring books, etc; and
of course we send the soldiers candy, gum, and snacks!
This event was
held for the entire community: games with prizes for the children, cake
walk, craft vendors, educational booths, Opimist Club train, Smokey the
Bear, hot dogs, chips, drinks, popcorn, and cotton candy!! Best of all:
it was FREE!!!
Saturday Night Live

In every month that has a 5th Saturday, we will sponsor a night of family friendly entertainment including singing and comedy.
Jewelry Benefit
Held a jewelry sale for a local woman awaiting a heart transplant. All jewelry handcrafted by her.
Rx Bottles
The local VFW collects empty prescription bottles for the SPCA.
Yard Sale Collection
A local youth group held a yard sale to raise money to go on a mission
trip to Ukraine. We collected items to donate.
